Space Chronicle Editor Dave Shayler examines the rich resources of the Society archives, outlines future plans for the new-look magazine and recalls his own personal capture of special moments in space history, in print.
He will cover the background to Space Chronicle, the reasoning behind the changes and current features, and the plans to expand the publication. He will look at the development of the BIS Library and Archives, the Russian-Chinese Forum and the research opportunities at the BIS [COVID rules applied of course]
Finally, he will present a selection of his efforts in converting ideas into books using the BIS archives, personal research, tours and interviews, and will show how ‘digging in the dust’ of old archives can reveal some amazing, interesting, and important facts.
